This is a mounted set of 2 souvenir foreign costume dolls called The Granparents made in Taiwan in the 1960s with original foil sticker. The dolls are made of molded cloth on wire frames, hand painted features with glued grey and black hair and the man's beard. The dolls measures 18.5 inches high by 5.5 long by 2.25 inches wide and have a plastic base. The clothing is brocade and there is a cute small woven lunch basket on the woman's arm. She was brought home from from a far east in the 1960s. The dolls are in excellent condition and another color variation is pictured on page 70 of Frame's Folk And Foreign Costume Dolls. |
