This is a sugar basin or sugar bowl made by Dartmouth Pottery, Devon England in the 1950s in a pattern called Princess Margaret Dots. The pattern was created and became very popular after a visit of Princess Margaret, younger sister of Queen Elizabeth II in 1951 to the Royal Naval College in Dartmouth where she wore a dress of white polka dots on blue. The sugar basin or bowl measures 2 inches high by 4 in diameter and is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or wear.
