This is a single hoop or bucket eggcup made by Dartmouth Pottery, Devon England in the 1950s in a pattern called Princess Margaret Dots. The pattern was created and became very popular after a visit of Princess Margaret, younger sister of Queen Elizabeth II in 1951 to the Royal Naval College in Dartmouth where she wore a dress of white polka dots on blue. The eggcup or egg cup measures 2 inches high by 2 in diameter and is in very good +++ condition with 1 tiny rough place on the rim.
