Circa: 1896 Condition: used Size: 3.75 inches long Country of Origin: United Kingdom Manufacturer: Chester, England
This is a figural English hallmarked lemon fork or fruit fork made for the Diamond Jubilee of the coronation of Queen Victoria of England in 1897. The commemorative 2 tine or 2 prong fork is hallmarked on the 2 prongs for sterling silver, Chester, England and 1896. The maker's mark is on the other tine but too difficult to decipher. The lemon fork measures 3.75 inches long with a barley twist handle and figural profile of a young Queen Victoria as the finial with a weight of 3.5 grams of silver. A wonderful item of British Royal memorabilia. In excellent condition.
