This is an absolutely beautiful dinner plate by Mintons, England with a heavy gold hand applied medallion and swag design. The plate measures 9 inches in diameter and was made 1902-1911 for the Philadelphia, PA china shop Wright, Tyndale and Van Roden. The hand painted heavy gold medallions and trim are truly a work of art. The plate is in excellent condition until you get to the middle where there is a large crescent shaped tight hairline. But if you are looking for a wonderful display piece that you don't plan to eat off, this is a wonderful piece and priced accordingly. They literally don't make them like this anymore! |
