This is an antique English hand made long cotton lawn dresser scarf or runner. The runner has hand appliqued and embroidered flowers and further delicate embroidered flowers and leaves with a blue buttonhole stitch hem all around. The dresser scarf measures 46 inches long by 15 inches wide which is why I have been unable to photograph it full length. The scarf or runner is in very good condition with 1 tiny spot and a bit of minor soiling. I haven't tried to wash it. The dresser scarf dates to 1920-1930s and is from a collection of linens I acquired in England. |
