This is a great art deco 3 piece pottery teaset made by Gibsons, England in the 1950s. It is made of red clay pottery and has blue bands and cream bands overlaid with a black transfer that was then hand painted. The transfer is a landscape with fantastic birds. There is gold trim and gold spout,handle and finial. There are no chips or cracks. The tea set is in excellent condition and not even any gold wear. It must have been treasured or used for display only. A wonderful set.
