Circa: 1970 Condition: used Size: 4 inches tall Color: blue Country of Origin: United States Manufacturer: unknown USA
This is a cast iron fence post finial that I got from an American caster in the 1970s to use as a decorative accent. The blue cold painted cast iron finial measures 4 inches high and is shaped like a stylized fleur de lis or swooping spear point. The finial is new and was never used. There is a bit of paint wear and a pale rust peeking through on the very top, but that ads character! Great among books and shells, etc on a bookcase or on a desk as a paperweight.
