This is an antique late Victorian era brown transferware dinner plate in the Aesthetic Movement or English Arts and Crafts design of Lily And Fan made by T. E. Elsmore & Sons, England between 1878 and 1890.

The plate measures 9.5 inches in diameter and features a collage of Asian or Japonesque designs including the namesake Lily and Vase, a fan, bamboo and other foliage with a dentil border.

The plate is in in very good +++ used vintage condition with 1 tiny discolored rim chip, some mild use marks, and one side of the back has the mineral dust or kiln dust associated with early firings when something probably blew up in the kiln...which did happen frequently.

A wonderful example of Aesthetic Movement or English Arts and Crafts design.
