Antique Staffordshire Blue Bird Pitcher Jug Blue Porcelain Lovely Tall 1880s
This is a wonderful bird design pitcher or jug made 1880-1900 by an unknown maker from Staffordshire England.
I acquired at an antique market in Staffordshire, England and just loved it.
The porcelain pitcher or jug measures 7.5 inches high by 6.5 inches long by 4 inches wide and has the cutest flying bird against a blue sky and stenciled rosy clouds with a smaller bird on the reverse.
The shape has a molded rim design and reeded base and a gorgeous blue color at the bottom.
The interior looks yellow in the photo but is an off white.
The bird pitcher or jug is in very good +++ used vintage condition with no body chips, cracks or wear but there are 2 very tiny glaze chips to the side of the large bird that can be seen in the photo.
A wonderful and very collectible and decorative piece.
