Charger Plate Constable Boat Buiding Near Flatford Mill 1970s Fenton England
SKU: 1156-055
This is a very large landscape plate made by Fenton China, England in the 1970s and is a reproduction of a famous river scene painted by artist John Constable titled Boat Building Near Flatford Mill from 1815 with gold trim.
The original painting is in the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, England.
What is unusual about this decorative plate is the size. It is the largest I have had and measures 10.75 inches in diameter.
The plate is in very good +++ used vintage condition with no chips or cracks. There is a bit of minor gold trim wear.
A wonderful scenic or landscape plate from a great artist. The plate is extremely difficult to photograph with out it being light struck because of the curved, deep sides. The design is perfect.
