Coronation Queen Elizabeth II Cup And Saucer Cipher Pedestal 1953 Rosina Gold Profile
This is a lovely bone china cup and saucer commemorating the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II of England in 1953.
The bone china pedestal cup measures 2 inches high by 3.75 inches in diameter and the saucer is 5.5 inches in diameter.
The design features the Queen's profile surrounded by a belt of the Order Of The Garter with the Queen's motto... Honi Soit Quit Mal E Pense or, "Shame to him who thinks evil". The portrait is surmounted by a crown and symbols of the United Kingdom are around the portrait. The same is on the saucer.
The reverse of both cup and saucer is the coronation date and dedication. Both pieces have gold trim.
The royal memorabilia set is in excellent used vintage condition with no chips, cracks or wear.
A lovely set for an historic occasion.
