Cup Mug King Edward VIII Coronation Abdicated Beaker 1937
This is a beaker, cup or mug made to commemorate the coronation in 1937 of King Edward VIII. Edward VIII was never crowned be cause he abdicated to marry American divorcee Wallis Simpson. Edward VIII was the uncle of the present Queen Elizabeth II.
The ceramic cup or beaker is 4.5 high by 3.5 inches in diameter an features a color profile of Edward VII with dedication and color surround and his cipher on the reverse.
The cup, beaker mug is in very good +++ used vintage condition with no chips or cracks. There is a bit of crazing and very minor discoloration from use on the interior.
The beaker or cup is part of a royal memorabilia collection I recently acquired. Lovely!
