This is a Staffordshire pottery dog, pot dog or mantle dog from Staffordshire, England that stands 7 inches high.

Staffordshire dogs usually come in pairs, but this dog has lost it's mate.

The dog has rust marks on white with a gold collar and chain.

The dog is unmarked but has an incised number and is of fairly recent make from the 1960s but is in excellent condition and very decorative.
