English Sugar Tongs Elkington Silver Plate 1930s Spoon Ends UK 1920-1930s
This is a vintage pair of silver plated sugar tongs made by the Elkington and Company, Birmingham, England.
The elegant classic shell pattern sugar tongs are marked with the date letter for 1930.
The sugar tongs measure 4.5 inches long, have spoon ends and a lovely classical design.
Elkington and Company was in business from 1842 to 1968 and patented silver electroplating in 1863.
They are famous for having supplied the silver for many years to the White Star Line including the Titanic.
This pair of sugar tongs is in very good +++ condition with only very minor signs of use.
