This is a horse brass featuring a horse's head inside a horseshoe.

The horse head in horse shoe tourist horse brass measures 3.75 inches high and was made in the 1970s in a rural foundry, and has a lot of impurities which is evident often in 1970s small-batch tourist brasses.

Horse brasses were developed in the 17th century to decorate and identify draft horses and are very collectible. In England you see them decorating the beams in pubs or hung by the fireplace in homes.

They make great Christmas tree ornaments and paperweights as well.
