This is a horse brass depicting a nicely shaped horse head in a horse shoe but in the unusual direction of facing to the right.
This horse brass measures 3.5 inches high by 3 inches wide and was made 1940s.
The horse brass is in very good +++ used vintage condition.
Horse brasses were developed in the 17th century to decorate and identify draft horses and are very collectible. In England you see them decorating the beams in pubs or hung by the fireplace in homes.They make great Christmas tree ornaments and paperweights as well.
