Horse Brass Hunting Horn Sporting England 1900 Harness Brass Pub Brass
This is a horse brass or harness brass featuring the design of a hunting horn or a fox hunt sporting horn in a reticulated and scalloped frame.
The very well made horse brass measures 3.25 inches high by 2.75 inches wide and was made in England in the 1910s.
Horse brasses were developed in the 17th century to decorate and identify draft horses and are very collectible.
In England you see them decorating the beams in pubs or hung by the fireplace in homes.
They make great ornaments on a Christmas tree as well!
