This is a porcelain egg coddler in a king or double size in the Birds pattern made in the 1950-1960s by Royal Worcester, England.

The coddler measures 3.25 inches high to the top of the jar not including the ring by 3 in diameter and is designed to hold 2 eggs.

The vintage egg coddler or egg cooker features a design of English birds with a wren on one side and 2 finches on the reverse.

This coddler actually looks as if it were never used and is in excellent used vintage condition with no chips or cracks, and has a tight fitting and screws on easily.

Coddlers cook your eggs or leftovers in boiling water, and can also be used for heating leftovers or baby food...just don't use the lid in the microwave!

Really designed for use in boiling water with lid on.

Recipe included with coddler.
