Mottoware Creamer Pitcher Elp Yerzel Tu Craim 1910s Longpark Motto Ware
This is an antique pottery creamer, cream pitcher or milk jug in mottoware or motto ware made by Longpark pottery, Torquay Devon, England 1905-1920.
The creamer has the motto Elp Yersel Tu Craim with a traditional flower design called a Scandy and measures 2.75 inches high by 3 in diameter.
The mottoware jug is in excellent used vintage condition. So cute and collectible.
Famous and fun motto ware or mottoware has been manufactured in the south of England from the 1860s until the factories closed in the 1960s.
It is usually of red clay decorated with bright glazes, cottages and mottos or sayings that run the gamut from proverbs and sound advice to nearly outrageous.
