This is a neat English salt glazed earthenware pitcher or jug made in 1910-1920s in Staffordshire, England.

The jug or large pitcher measures 6.75 inches high and is 5.75 inches in diameter.

It has a raised design on one side of a pub drinking scene, and the other is a traditional one of witches pulling the tail off a horse on the hunting field, which have been identified as Robert Burns' poem Tam O'Shanter, written in 1790, in 2 tone stoneware.

The pitcher or jug is in excellent used vintage condition with no chips or cracks. Very decorative.
