Royal Medal Coronation Abdicated King Edward VIII Never Crowned 1937
This is an original vintage British Royal memorabilia silver plated souvenir medal commemorating the planned coronation in 1937 of King Edward VIII.
The king was never crowned, as he abdicated before the coronation in order to marry American divorcee Wallis Simpson.
His younger brother took his place and was crowned King George VI, and is the father of Queen Elizabeth II.
The medal measures 1.5 inches in diameter ans is in very good used vintage condition but is a used, vintage item and shows signs of being treasured and enjoyed.
A great piece of royal memorabilia or history.
