Royal Winton Grimwades Toast Rack Petunia Vintage 1940s Pink Floral
This is a lovely pink Petunia toast rack or toast holder by Royal Winton Grimwades, England made in the 1940-1950s in their Molded Relief Ware line.
The ceramic toast rack is a pretty pink with gold trim with molded hand painted Petunia blossoms, leaves and stems each end.
The pink Petunia 2 slice toast rack measures 2.75 inches high by 6 inches long by 2.5 inches wide.
The toast rack is in very good +++ used vintage condition with no chips or cracks and just some very minor crazing from it's age. The date mark includes the Design Registry date or Rd number for 1897 when the Petunia pattern was first registered, although the mark indicates in dates to the 1940s
A neat piece and useful too!
Toast racks are having new lives as letter holders on the desk and napkin holders on the dinner table.
They're just not for breakfast anymore!
