This is a fabulous little Shelley China, England bone china souvenir crested china dish, open salt or pin dish in a scalloped with webbed sides shape made 1912-1926.

The dish features gold trim and the hand enameled arms of Thomas a Becket who was murdered in Canterbury Cathedral for opposing the divorces of King Henry VIII and further made famous in the play Murder In The Cathedral by T. S. Eliot.

The Cantebury Becket souvenir dish is .75 of an inch high and 3 inches in diameter.

The back has the name of the merchant in Canterbury, A. Field who ordered the dishes manufactured and sold them as souvenirs in his Canterbury China Rooms.

The sweet little souvenir bowl is in excellent used vintage condition with no chips, cracks or gold loss. A great piece.
