Shelley England Bowl Black 3 Damsons Fruit Art Pottery 1910s Matte Black Edwardian
This is a Shelley China, England art pottery bowl made 1912-1925 in a matte black color bowl shape number719 and in pattern number 8635 which is called Three Damsons which is a great fruit bowl or centerpiece bowl.
The bowl measures 2.75 inches high by 6.5 inches in diameter.
The decorative bowl features a white leaf stencil print border and a cluster of Damson plums and leaves that have been hand colored, and is sort of tube lined.
The art pottery bowl is in very good ++ used vintage condition with no chips or cracks with only a couple of pinprick paint flecks on the rim or minor scratches on the back. A very fun piece and a departure from the usual Shelley one sees.
