This is an Eric Slater artist signed Shelley China, England 8 inch square plate from the 1930s featuring a thatched cottage on a village street titled Old England.
The plate has an art deco square shape and deco ochre or gold border and the design is handpainted and signed by the artist Eric Slater who was Shelley art director at that time.
The decorative landscape plate is a design called English Cottage and is part of the Old England series.
The plate shows some wear and utensil marks but no chips or cracks and is in very good used vintage condition.
