This is a vintage English bone china pin or brooch from England in a form referred to as a Staffordshire Posy brooch.

The hand made figural flower pin features 3 flowers that look like anemones or primroses with leaves, and measures approximately 2.5 inches in diameter.

The brooch is unmarked. The hand made pin is in excellent used vintage condition which is rare for this bone china jewelry, with no chips or cracks.

Pins of this quality were very popular in the 1950s when this was made. We watched craftsman making these at the factory workrooms in Stoke On Trent and were amazed at the skill and time it took to make each part of these flowers by hand from a lump of clay.

The potteries have all either closed or moved production to the far east so these are no longer being made.  The pin is in it's original box with velvet pad but no lid.
