This is a Swinnertons, England lug handled or lugged cake plate in The Ferry pattern in hand colored brown transfer or polychrome transferware made during 1946-1950s.
The ironstone Romantic Staffordshire cake serving plate measures 9 inches high by 9.5 inches wide and is in very good ++ used vintage condition with only 1 small shallow back rim chip not visible from the front and some utensil marks.
A very pretty scene and decorative plate.
