Wedgwood Blue Jasper Ware Box Cylinder Lidded Classical Figures 1972 Blue And White
SKU: 11465-003
This is a Wedgwood, England blue and white jasperware cylinder lidded box with a classical design called Sacrifice Figures.
The lidded cylinder box was made by the Wedgwood, England in the 1972 and measures 5 inches high by 3.5 inches in diameter at the base.
The design incorporates several scenes from the Sacrifice Figures tableau with an acorn and oak leaf border and ferns and palms on the lid.
The covered box or jar is in excellent used vintage condition with no chips, cracks or wear.
A beautiful decorative item of typical Wedgwood quality.
These covered boxes can be used for tea, candy, cigarettes, cotton balls or, in one case I know of, for a pet's ashes.
We loved watching the skill used to do this at the Wedgwood factory.
