Wileman Pre Shelley Teacup Trio Empire Rust Green Floral Scrolls Victorian

SKU: 10819-178

  • $228.00

This is a bone china fancy Victorian trio manufactured in 1891 by the Wileman Company, the precursor for Shelley China, England in the Empire shape and pattern number 9109 Floral Print With Scroll Border.

The cup and saucer with matching plate bears the British registry number for the pattern for 1893 which was when the pattern was registered, but the Shelley pattern books say it was produced in 1891 with this back stamp.

The cup is 2 inches high by 4 inches in diameter, the saucer is 5.65 inches in diameter and the matching plate is 7.25 inches in diameter.

All pieces are in very good +++ used vintage condition, with normal wear on the saucer and plate, with the only flaw a tiny nick under the gold trim on the cup lip.

Just an outstanding piece of artistry and a rare excellent condition Victorian survival from a fabulous manufacturer. Absolutely gorgeous!
