Scarf Coronation Edward VIII George VI 1937 Crown Flags Hankerchief

SKU: 10136-LB

This is a wonderful vintage printed head scarf, or perhaps a large handkerchief, made to commemorate the coronation of either Edward VIII or George VI 1937 of England.

Edward VIII was to be crowned in 1937 but abdicated in favor of his younger brother George VI to marry American divorcee' Wallis Simpson.

The scarf or handkerchief, which is made of fine, picot hemmed cotton lawn, is 17.75 inches square and features a wonderful full color design of crown, scepters and all the flags of the British Commonwealth of Nations at the time.

The scarf is in near excellent used vintage condition with some very minor soiling.

A wonderful royal souvenir from an English collection of British Royal memorabilia we acquired recently.
