Pair George V Threepence Coins Sterling Silver Salt Spoons Hand Made 1916-1922
SKU: 11192-S
This is an unusual pair of English antique sterling silver salt spoons made of a threepence coin made by the Royal Mint in 1916 and 1922 during the reign of King George V.
The salt spoons each measures 2.5 inches long, has a round bowl measuring .6 of an inch in diameter that has been hand hammered into a convex shape.
The coin has then had an artisan add a barley twist handle with a turned finial.
The spoon dates are on the back and the back has a lovely pattern of embossed acorns and oak leaves.
The salt spoons are in excellent condition and is very difficult to find.
I have sold some others as pendants for unusual necklaces as well.
