This is an antique L. &. N. W., London & North West Rail Road divided back postcard titled On The Clyde. Cal: Co's Steamer Returning From Rothsay.

London and North Western Railway...known as the LNWR or the L&NWR...which was a railway company of the United Kingdom which existed between 1846 and 1922.

The postcard is a painting of a ship at sea and was printed by McCorquodale & Co. Ltd and says "Travel to Scotland by the West Coast Royal Mail; Route" via Carlisle (L. & N. W. and Cal.Rlys.). "Finest Permanent Way In The World".

The postcard is unused and has only a bit of corner scuffing.
