This is an antique late Victorian era brown transferware flat bowl or soup plate in the Aesthetic Movement or English Arts and Crafts design Louise made by E Wedgwood & Co., England with the Design Registry diamond or kite mark for April 1, 1881.
The soup plate or bowl measures 9.25 inches in diameter and features an Asian or Japonesque design including foliage, a wonderful bird and vignettes
The soup bowl or soup plate is in in very good ++ used vintage condition with some mild use marks, a bit of pattern wear and one side of the back has the mineral dust or kiln dust.
A wonderful example of Aesthetic Movement or English Arts and Crafts design.
